Social Media Intern
Part-Time | Start Date: June 1, 2026

The Cornwall Democratic Committee is looking for a creative, organized, and community-minded Social Media Intern to help support local campaigns and voter outreach leading up to the November election.

This role is ideal for someone interested in politics, communications, design, photography, or grassroots organizing. You’ll work directly with local candidates and committee leadership to help tell the story of what’s happening in Cornwall and connect with voters online.

Responsibilities may include:

  • Creating social media content for Instagram and Facebook

  • Taking photos and short videos at events and campaign activities

  • Designing graphics, flyers, and digital posts

  • Helping manage posting schedules and engagement

  • Writing captions, announcements, and event promotions

  • Assisting with voter data organization, list cleanup, and campaign database management

  • Supporting occasional campaign events and fundraisers

What we’re looking for:

  • Strong writing and communication skills

  • Comfortable using Instagram, Facebook, and Canva

  • Organized, reliable, and responsive

  • Interest in local government, civic engagement, or campaigns

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively

  • Photography/video editing experience is a plus, but not required

This is a flexible, part-time position running from June through August 2026 with a possible extension to Election Day. Some evening or weekend availability may be needed around events.
